Landon G. Lack
Founder, President & CEO
Landon Lack founded China MedConnect in Beijing, China. He lived in Beijing with his family from early 2007 until the Summer of 2017. He now spends his time both in California and China.
Landon has extensive medical device and international experience having worked with over 100 medical device companies both entering and operationally executing in China. Prior to China MedConnect, his medical device experience includes tenures with B.Braun (via acquisition of McGaw, Inc.) and Boston Scientific.
He has worked exclusively in the medical device sector, focusing on cross-border medical device transactions, full-service China market entry for small to medium US medical device companies, and partnering and go-to-market strategies for US device companies.
Landon holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point, and an MBA from China Europe International Business School, CEIBS.
Tony Yang
Partner
Tony Yang has been a partner and managing director of China MedConnect since 2009. In this capacity he assists companies with direct leadership and operational execution. He has also been instrumental in leading cross-border US-China strategic partnering, M&A, and investments.
Tony is also a Co-Founder and Managing Director of CA Medical where he has responsibility for direct investments.
Prior to CMC, Tony held a variety of senior management positions with leading multinationals both in the US and China.
Tony holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisville. He received his MBA from China Europe International Business School, CEIBS.
Anchie Kuo, MD
Partner
Dr. Anchie Kuo was most recently CEO and owner of ARC International, a medical device company with operations in Beijing. At ARC, Anchie was responsible for building domestic and international distribution and implementing manufacturing and operational efficiencies that led to a fourfold increase in sales and profitability. ARC was acquired in 2015, at which time Anchie joined China MedConnect and co-founded CA Medical.
Anchie began his career in business development at Pfizer Hospital Products Group, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc. He has had over 15 years of experience in venture capital and was a Co-founder of BankAmerica Ventures (Scale Venture Partners). At BankAmerica Ventures, Anchie was responsible for all healthcare investments and served on the Board of Directors of over 15 healthcare companies.
Dr. Anchie Kuo received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Zhang Jie, MD, PhD
Head of Clinical
Dr. Zhang Jie has worked for China MedConnect since 2011. As an integral member of the CMC team, Jie has supported numerous US medical device companies with their China operations and strategies. Additionally, she focuses on strategic partnering solutions, investments and M&A activities for our clients.
Jie has deep experience in the healthcare and biomedical industries, having previously served on multiple domestic Chinese and global business development projects. She has worked in leadership roles with Bayer Healthcare China; Astra Zeneca China; Baylor College of Medicine Technologies USA and its portfolio of startups; as well as international healthcare services and consulting companies.
Dr. Zhang Jie is a trained Medical Doctor from Wuxi, China. She received her MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and her PhD in hospital administration from University of Texas.
